We love the USA! So blessed to live here!

This 4th of July is probably one of my favorites because it's the day I finally felt our little wiggle worm kick. Now I'm addicted to that feeling!!! It's like air bubbles popping in my stomach. I love it so much. Our little baby has stolen my heart and I'm just filled with love and excitement about everything!

We spent the 4th just running around town, and then when night fell Jacob took me out into the field behind our apartment and we watched fireworks on a quilt and did sparklers. It was great until the bugs attacked! Then we headed to the grass in front of our apartment and laid there and star gazed for awhile, well I did, Jacob was trying to figure out how to write with sparklers and catch it on camera. (As you probably know he wasn't able to figure it out this time!)

We had to cancel our appointment to see Baby this Saturday because Jacob has drill. But it's okay because now we have an appointment here in Bentonville tonight!!! We will officially know if Baby is a he or she tonight!! Meep! (the reason I scheduled it in Tulsa is so I could visit my bestie while there, but Jacob said he'd take me another weekend so it's all good!)

Jacob and I both love US History, so you can bet that we had a blast exploring Jamestown and Yorktown last weekend.

We went to Jamestown first, which is where the first permanent English establishment took place. So you could say, it is the birthplace of the USA. And it is also the hometown of Pocahontas (one of my favorite Disney princesses!).

I loved seeing the statues of Pocahontas and John Smith, although the real story is very different than the Disney movie I still felt like a little kid in fairy-tale land. We got to go to 2 different museums with all kinds of ancient artifacts, such as pipes, armor, swords, baking ovens, arrowheads, jewelry, and much more! One of the museums contained skeletons of the early settlers, one still had a bullet in his leg bone from the gun shot that killed him! It was one of the neatest things I've ever seen (not meaning to be heartless here!). Then we got to see a skull of a young girl which showed that some of the settlers had resorted to cannibalism during the starvation period, very gruesome and sad.

We got to see graves of settlers that the archeologists had recently found, replicas of the barracks the settlers lived in, rebuilding of the Church Tower, and some old burned up houses that the settlers used to live in. We also got to see glass being made, because the settlers used to make it, so they continue the tradition! It was such a great trip!

Then we had an hour of sunlight left so we drove over to Yorktown to see the Yorktown Victory Monument. It is so beautiful and I love everything that it stands for, our freedom!!

This past week Jacob and I took a road trip up to Yellowstone National Park, it was one of the best trips I've ever been on and the most beautiful place I've ever been. I can't wait to share our pictures with you guys! Hopefully I will have some up from Day 1 soon!! But for now here are our pictures with all the state signs that we went through! (No Missouri pictured because I was sleeping...oops! But the first picture is at a gas station in Missouri so that kinda counts right?)

On July 3rd we went to a cook-out at our friends Reid and Zac's house, it was so fun to just kick back and bbq and watch fireworks together. The last group of pictures are from that night!

On the 4th we went and watched the fireworks at the mall with our friends, it was an awesome show!! God Bless America!!

Sweater: Therapy, Shorts: Abercrombie and Fitch

This is what I wore over my bikini on a not so warm afternoon at the beach. I am totally in love with this sweater from Therapy. First off, representing the best place on earth, America!! But it is also super soft, cozy, and warm. Perfect for late summer nights. This sweater scream Wildfox Couture to me, except at a much more affordable price. Perfection! I urge you to go grab yours before they are all gone!

And these shorts are the best denim shorts I've ever had. I've had them for about 6 years, and they have been worn so much that they hardly exist anymore haha. They aren't really appropriate for anywhere but the beach now days (even though I might be brave and wear them out elsewhere!)

I can't stop listening to Lana Del Rey these days. This song is one of my favorites, and the video is genius.
