Tank-Forever21, Pants-Goodwill, Belt-Goodwill, Shoes-Jessica Simpson, Earrings-Apricot Lane

When I saw these pants at Goodwill, I couldn't help but think about the ones that Serena is wearing in the new episodes of Gossip Girl....and I freaked! I was so excited!!! EEK! They are awesome. I love them. They are a little big but when I put a belt around them they look perfect.

I ordered Jeffrey Campbell Cheetah print wedges about a month ago with my Revolve cloting gift-card...I was expecting them about a week ago, but I just got an e-mail telling me they won't be in until the end of August......UGH!!! I want them so so so bad!!! I guess I'll just have to be patient!

Shirt-Thrifted, Shorts-Abercrombie and Fitch, Bra-Urban Outfitters, Belt-Thrifted, Earrings-Apricot Lane, Sandals-Wal-Mart

These earrings are my new favorite earrings, they are so cute, I love the coral with the starfish!! I got them at a little boutique in Branson, called Apricot Lane...I love that place.... Also this turquoise bra is great for summer, I love wearing it with baggy tank-tops and sheer shirts like this one. I got it while thrifting, I love that it has little cream dots on it. Makes it even more unique!

in love.

I know it's still 105 degrees outside, but I couldn't help but dream of fall once I saw this dress.......
Since I have been looking for the perfect slip dress since last fall, when I came across this one on Topshop.com I fell head-over-heels in love! It's so perfect I love the color... I would style it with black tights, high-heeled ankle booties, and a chunky-knit beret (to tone down the sexiness). And a grey sweater for when it's chilly outside :)Now if only I could get my hands on an extra $125....or umm....Jacob, just to let you know...my birthday is coming up!! ;)

shirt-H&M, bike shorts-Forever21, shoes-Converse, sunnies-Target, Earrings-Clairs

I loved loved all the shirts like this at H&M, so much that I'm still wishing I would have at least got one more while in Los Angeles. They are just too cool if you ask me :) I bought these biker shorts awhile back at Forever21....I was thinking I would wear them with a dress, but then decided they would look much better with an over-sized tee!

I have had these converse since I was in the 9th grade when I was a little punk rocker haha. (My mom wanted to kill me for dressing so crazy all the time, but I loved it!) haha. And now I'm about to start my 4th year of college...so I've had these babys for a pretty long time! :) They have remaind some of the best shoes I've ever owned. They might have writing and drawings all over them and holes on the sides, but I think it makes them a little more perfect like that. :)

Oh and can I just say that McDonald's strawberry-banana smoothie is the freaking best thing ever? Cause it is ;)

The Pretty Reckless

who knew this girl could sing?! I love her voice, it reminds me of Shirley Manson from the 90's band Garbage which is awesome because I used to be soooo obsessed with that band.

Headband-Forever21, T-shirt-Apricot Lane, Shorts-American Apparel, Shoes-Forever21

These are my new Forever21 (Acne knock-off) wedges! They are pretty much everything I dreamed of....I love them. They are perfect for the price of only $30 compared to the real Acne wedges that are $500. I just want to wear them all the time! They are so comfy and I love the way they look!!! :)

I got these American Apparel high-waisted shorts while in Los Angeles. I love the color and the fit! They are perfection!! I am so in love with American Apparel, can't wait until I can go again.

I got this band shirt while on vacation with my family....I fell instantly in love, cause it's not very often that I am able to find band shirts that I just adore....well it's not very often that I find any shirts that I adore. But anyways, it was $45!! ugh. I couldn't afford that....but my mom decided to get it for me as a gift and she got me a another band shirt too that I wanted!!! YAY! She's by far the best ever :) It will pretty much go with everything. But all in all I had great time in Branson and I can't wait to go back!!!

I'm glad yall liked the how-to high-waisted shorts post!! :) Thanks so much for following me and reading my blog yall!!!

high-waisted shorts how-to!

Photobucket
First: go to your local Goodwill or any other second hand shop

Photobucket
Second: Go to the women's denim shorts and pick out all the mom jean shorts that look like they could fit around the belly-button part of your waist.
Photobucket
Third: Go and try on all the shorts and see what fits and what doesn't!!
Photobucket
Fourth: Make sure you take someone with you that is willing to hold your clothes for you while you shop ;) hehe.
Photobucket
Fifth: They may look really dorky now, but you are on your way to some awesome high-waisted shorts!
Photobucket
Sixth: Decide how short you want them to be, and then cut them like you do cut-offs.
Photobucket
Seventh: Start off with the front of the shorts and cut straight and even. DO NOT cut the back of the shorts at the same time as the front!
Photobucket
Eighth: Now move on to the back, but do not cut straight across. Because you want them to be just a tad longer in the back (if you got a booty like I do)...so you need to start off by cutting straight but do a "C" curve (just a slight one) and then make your way back up.
Photobucket
Ninth: Repeat on the other side!
Photobucket

Photobucket
Tenth:If you didn't draw any sort of line to follow (which I don't) then try them on and you can see where you have gone wrong, if you went crooked, or if one side is longer than the other. If so , then you need to do some trimming!!! (It really helps if you have someone help you with the trimming while you have them on!)
Photobucket
Eleventh: Tada! Cool high-waisted shorts! If you want them to have a fray all you have to do is wash and dry them! But if you want to roll them, scroll down! :)
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Twelfth: Or you can roll them!!! If you want to roll them....make sure you don't cut them too short so you will have fabric to roll-up!
Photobucket

Since a lot of you asked me to do a diy on the high-waisted shorts I am always wearing I thought I would! I hope this helps you all out! (I'm not really the best at explaining things!) And if you mess up the first time, it's okay! You can go back and get more because they are only like $3.00!!
