As designer Kimberley Gordon describes the inspiration behind the unique pieces, “When I was 11 and moved to California, we started going on camping trips and I haven’t stopped since. From Yosemite, Joshua Tree, tents, ghost stories, campfires, and bug spray, to first kisses, swimming, fishing, home made burritos, and bucket hats! Camping always makes for the most wonderful memories.” Gordon adds, “The open road through the desert with the windows down and heat rushing in or laying under the stars with your friends drinking whiskey and playing spin the bottle; the collection is inspired by all of these feelings and memories.  The last three weeks before school begins, the urgency of cramming in all the fun, and that feeling that you know it’s all going to end soon which makes it all the more magical.”

Wildfox Pre-Fall 2013 collection is so beautiful. I have already decided that I need the maxi dress in the first and second picture for my birthday, but I'll have to wait until Christmas because it doesn't come out until December, boo!!.....hopefully it is affordable! I mean isn't it gorgeous? I'm obsessed with it.

All the other pieces are amazing also and I would love to go camping while wearing every single outfit! I'm in love with those ombre shorts, the slip skirts, the beautiful knit sweaters, and the skyline print tops (and dresses!). My favorite top is the one that says "The Road is Home". Love, love, love it. I just posted my favorite looks (which was pretty much every look), but if you want to see the rest go here!

I just received Anthropologie's November 2012 catalog, and like always it was amazing, and I had to share my favorite images.

Bows, sparkles, fur, tulle, beautiful headbands, messy hair, collars, and crowns. While flipping through this catalog I fell in love with it all from the styling to the clothes to the huge apples, sneaky foxes, frog princes, bunnies, and mother goose (along with golden eggs).

Can I please have it all for the holidays? I'll even settle for just one of these beautiful pieces.

So yesterday was mine and Jacob's 3 year wedding anniversary! However we went out and celebrated on the 16th (when these pictures were taken) because I had to work yesterday. We had a lot of fun with a day full of donuts, our first couple's massage, laying around, going out for dinner, and a movie.

But yesterday was even more special, I came home after a long day at work and Jacob had set up candles all over the house and had gotten Olive Garden take-out (with dessert!....my favorite!) for dinner with wine. He is perfect!

I am blessed to have married such an amazing man and I look forward to growing old with him and experiencing life together, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Something New.

 

I love being back in the beautiful Arkansas,  and no I do not miss California. However, I do miss my Foamies! (so much!)

Since being back I got a full-time job at Abercrombie and Fitch. It's a really great opportunity and I look forward to seeing where it takes me. But, having a full-time job means I never have any spare time!! Luckily I have Sundays off, so this Sunday Jacob and I went to see our families. We took the picture above while at Jacob's parent's cabin, isn't it beautiful!?

Also, I plan on getting back to blogging on a regular basis! So don't give up hope! :)

We all wish we were part of a fairy tale, some magical creature in some great love story.



A little mermaid with pearls in her long pink hair gliding through the warm salty water, in love with some beautiful sailor who she sees on a ship, handsome brown eyes and a different world. Our lives are more similar to fairy tales than we think, and everywhere around us there is magic. White sand that glitters in the sun and gets stuck like diamonds to your skin, sugarcane fields under the clouds that taste sweet in the rain, running barefoot on the hot pavement to meet a boy in town, long days of summer where the moon comes out along with the sun.

Wildfox Summer collection is to be pulled on over a bikini, drying off from the water on a tropical island, sunkissed shoulders and smelling of sunscreen & coconut oil. It is for little mermaids everywhere who belive in their own fairy tale coming true.

south padre island.

I got this dress at a thrift store. And it's the best thing ever. It makes me feel so carefree and beautiful. I could see myself wearing this dress everyday this summer, dressed up or down. It's the perfect beachy-hippie-girly dress ever, the back is to die for and the color is perfection. I'm in love.

The beach is so inspiring, I wish I lived closer to one.

South Padre Island, TX for spring break was so much fun. I will have some candid shots and stuff in the next post. The beaches are super super trashy though and it breaks my heart :( So please just throw your trash away when you go to the beach! It's not that hard!!!

My love and I decided to take pics along the beach and on our way there we saw this broken down bus so we went back and took some pics there. I think they turned out wonderfully. I love them and the ones on the beach so much! I can't decide which photo is my favorite though. Can yall help me out by telling me your favorite?! And I promise you guys will be seeing more of me....spring and summer are my seasons. They inspire me so much.
