We decided to go back to Yorktown the day after Jamestown because we just didn't get to explore enough. And I'm so glad we did! Learning about the battle of Yorktown while growing up and then getting to actually see where these events took place, actual cannons from the war, swords, houses, and trenches (dug by the soldiers that fought), is just amazing.
After taking millions of pictures with the cannons and the fields where the battles took place, we went and played around in the trenches, Jacob juggled snow, and we found my favorite cannon named "Fox" (cause duh, I love foxes). While driving around looking at some battle fields we spotted 3 swans! It was so neat because we've never seen swans in real life before, they are so beautiful!
Then we went into the little beach town part of Yorktown, and I fell in love. It's so cute! The white house pictured above is the house I picked our for Jacob and I to live in when we move there....(a girl can dream right?). And Jacob and I actually got confused for locals! So I think it's safe to say that we would fit in just fine!
