Love at First Sight.

 photo 38weeks028_zps672fc477.jpg

So here's our "getting pregnant story"

Jacob and I decided to wait awhile to have a baby so we could explore and travel the world and do everything we dreamed of before bringing someone into our lives that would change everything. I absolutely had the best 7 years with him doing just that. We were able to live on the West Coast and the East Coast. We were able to travel to the beach just for the weekend whenever we wanted. We were able to explore the most beautiful National Parks and sleep under the stars. It's been nonstop fun and adventuring with him and I wouldn't change it for the world.

But soon we both started getting baby fever. Even though it would only last for me for a few months, then I would be done with trying to get pregnant and get back on birth control. After trying to get pregnant twice I was getting convinced that maybe it wasn't in the books for us, maybe it was just ment to be Jacob and I and no one else. When he convinced me to try a third time, I agreed cause I knew it wouldn't happen right away, if it even happened at all.

Three months later, Jacob told me to take a pregnancy test because I was being so mean/moody and just wanted to sleep all the time, so he was convinced I was pregnant. And he was right! I cried from shock and disbelief but he smiled the biggest/goofiest smile in the world. I knew when I saw that smile that everything was going to be okay. And that we were going to have the happiest little family.

Once I saw my little munchkin a few weeks later and heard her heart beat, it was instant love at first sight. I had the same kind of butterflies I got when I first met Jacob. Now that she's almost here I'm so excited I could burst at the seams! Everyone says that our traveling days are over and no more this and that. But actually I'm more excited to travel now that we have Blair. I can't wait to show her the world and see her get excited over seeing a big mountain or jumping in the ocean waves with her daddy. I love that kids get excited about the most simple things in life.

This is going to be the best adventure yet.

Blair is 38 Weeks! She probably weighs 6.5 pounds (though I suspect she weighs more than that!) and is the size of a leek....in length!

Sorry there are so many belly pictures, I just can't get over how....round it is! I mean seriously? Is that belly for real??

Jacob and I ventured out to snap some pictures on that very cold day (about 2 days ago), when a sweet shop owner asked us if we would like to come inside and take some pictures in her shop where we could stay warm. So of course we said yes, and went and snapped a few pictures (not the best lighting soooo that's why there is only one picture from inside the store!) Anyways, on our way out she gave me a rose for baby Blair. It was such a sweet gesture that I will always cherish.

I am pretty miserable (though it could be much worse I'm sure. I am also bloated or swollen (WHATEVER!) beyond belief! My face looks like it's gained 5 pounds in one week. Pretty much can only fit into like 3 pairs of shoes, and those are tight. The ring that took my wedding ring's spot (about 3 months ago) is getting too tight.....and I had to add an extra link to my watch for it to fit! Ah!! Hopefully this little munchkin comes soon before I blow up anymore!!

Jacob is trying everything under the sun to try to induce labor. And every time I whine about a braxton hicks contraction his eyes get huge and he wants to time them to make sure they aren't real. He begs me to give birth every day because he wants to meet his daughter so bad. It really is the cutest thing ever. I can't wait to see his face when I actually do go into labor.....and most of all when he sees our daughter for the first time.

(He's so thrilled to take a selfie in Target with me)

Be prepared for quite a few posts this week, because now that this pregnancy is coming to an end, I'm trying to savor every last moment. I know I will miss feeling her move around inside me more than anything and I will miss the feeling of knowing that she's safe and warm in my belly...(and probably extremely happy that she doesn't have to face this cold weather yet!)

And I'm 100% blaming this big belly on me being whiney about not having a bump.....and maybe a little on all the milk I consume.

37 Weeks!

 photo 37weeks071_zps051539bb.jpg

Blair is 37 weeks!! (Well she's more like 37.5 weeks!) She probably weighs 6.5 pounds or so! And she's officially considered full term!!

We went to the doctor on Friday and she says everything is looking great and that Blair is in position and ready to be born!! It's possible that we could have a baby in less than 2 weeks!

We have her bag packed, but not mine.....I feel like it's impossible to do since I still want to wear/use most of the things I need to pack. What did you find to be the most useful things to pack?

Last Saturday my best friends through us a baby shower! It was so much fun! We played games, ate, hung out, caught up, and opened gifts! It was really great to be able to just have fun with some of the best people I know.

I'm really bad at remembering to take pictures while everyone is there, so I only got pictures with my mom, Jacob, and the hostesses. Ooops! Hopefully I will get better at remembering to take pictures during actual events!

Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us, I had a blast. Blair is so loved by so many people already and we are so thankful for every single one of you!

27 Weeks.

27 Weeks today! Blair is the size of a Cucumber and probably weighs over 2 pounds!

Also today marks the beginning of the 3rd Trimester! I'm excited yet nervous at the same time, because I've heard the 3rd Trimester can be just as hard as the first (here's to hoping that it's not!) I can't believe I will probably be holding my little munchkin in 13 weeks! AHHHH! So exciting!

We got to see Blair on Saturday, and she is still as cute as ever! She was making all sorts of faces, including the duck face. Haha. Oh man, it was super funny and cute all at the same time. She was opening and closing her mouth, pretty sure we saw a tiny smile for a second, she was wriggling around the entire time (this girl is a mover!), and we saw the most precious ankles I've ever seen. Who would've thought baby ankles were so cute!?

My mom and dad took the vintage dresser we bought for her and they are going to repaint it. I'm so excited to get it back I just know it's going to be gorgeous!

Also, no more complaining from me about not having a belly. Cause it's here and it's huge! I love it. I love that people are FINALLY asking me about my baby and giving me baby advice. (Most people seem to hate that....but I'm loving it). And I finally had to throw in the towel and buy some maternity clothing. I got some jeans, leggings, and a dress! So hopefully I will be set for the rest of the pregnancy if I can find some good sweaters, flannels, and over-sized shirts while thrifting.

Next week is the dreaded 28 week appointment where I have to take the glucose screening test, get the Rhogam shot, and the Pertussis Shot. Wah. Hopefully everything goes good, prayers would be greatly appreciated!

Blair is the size of an Eggplant!!

I'm actually 25.5 weeks in these pictures, but I'm 26 weeks this week so we are just going with that!

No denying that this girl right here is pregnant anymore! It's crazy how much my belly grew in a few weeks! I love it! I love seeing my belly grow cause I know that means my little munchkin is growing too.

We have determined that Blair like to be posted up on the left side of my body, since that's where she's always moving and it sticks out a tiny bit more than the right side. Before I even told my mom this theory she was feeling my belly and was telling me that's where Blair is. And then we had a small ultrasound and yep! That's where she is posted up on the left side!

Last week we spent a couple of days up at Jacob's parents cabin up on the mountain. It was nice to escape for those days with my love. We got to relax and play and not worry about anything. It was a much needed mini vacation. We took these belly pictures one morning before we went out adventuring. Jacob has a great eye for great lighting and I'm glad he suggested it because I love these pictures!

This Saturday we have an ultrasound and I'm so excited! This will probably be the last time we get to see her before birth, so I'm going to cherish every second! My mom and dad  are coming up to go with us to the ultrasound, and of course Kharter. (I can't wait to see  what he will think about it!) Also my besties Rosalva and Crystal are coming! Meep!
-Side note, we are not having this done at a doctor's office, we are going to a private ultrasound company to have it done like we did before to find out the gender.-

Oh, and how about that bellybutton! Haha!

Farmer's Market and More...

Last week was pretty eventful for us! On Thursday we went to the square to grab a bite to eat with some of Jacob's family. It was nice to get out of the house and hang out at the square after dinner while porking down a sprinkled icecream cone.....it's Blair's favorite!...or mom's who knows? ;)

Then Friday we headed to Fayetteville to eat at my favorite pizza place, Tiny Tim's. Ugh why can't there be one here in Bentonville? I would be there every single week if so! I called up one of my besties, Rosalva, and we got to have dinner then cupcakes (also Blair's favorite, hehe). Then we walked around the square there and caught up! I guess it's not so bad driving to Fayetteville for dinner if I get to spend that time with Rosalva! Earlier that day I caught Blair moving in my tummy, just a tiny bit, she knows when I'm recording and decides to stop instantly. Pretty frustrating! But I did get one little kick, so I was able to show Rosalva, I just loved how excited it made her and Jacob (even though he's seen her kicking and felt her kicking a millions times!)!

Saturday morning Jacob and I woke up and went to the Farmer's Market. I loved it, especially all the beautiful flowers! I wanted to buy them all! It was waaaay hot though so we kept poking into stores near by and I found the cutest necklace for pregnant women. It has months 1-9 on them and you can add a month when you get there. I loved it, and if I wasn't already 6 months along I would have definitely purchased it!

And last but not least, we finally put Blair's crib together! I love it! Her room is slowly but surely coming together. We have the crib, bookshelf, and dresser. Even though the dresser needs repainted, but my dad is going to pick it up next weekend and get started! Meep! I can't wait to get it back!

I didn't know it was possible to feel Blair move around more than she already does, but I have been able to this week! She's a little mover and a shaker. I absolutely love it. I already know I'm going to miss that feeling after birth! But at least I'll have her to snuggle with to make me miss them less!
