shipwrecked.
Dress-Modcloth, Tights-Wal-Mart, Shoes-Gianni Binni, Headband-Forever21, Coat-Thrifted.
Soooooo! Jacob and I and 2 other friends all went out on the Branson Belle Showboat. We all got dresses up and went and had a blast. We got to watch an amazing show, eat some delicious food, and goof around on the boat!
We were only suppose to be on the boat for 2 hours, with over 600 other people. But then something went wrong. One of the Paddle Wheels on the boat stopped working, so the captain came and told us it would be another hour before we would be able to get off the boat. Well, an hour passed and then we crashed into something, which was very scary cause the whole boat shook! Then the captain came out and told us that we were shipwrecked and would have to abandon ship. AHHH! But, then 2 hours later he came out and said that the Fire Department and Coast Gaurd couldn't find a safe way to get us off the boat, because of the strong winds, ice on the rocks, and the rough waves....so we would have to stay until the wind storm dies down.
So I had to spend over 20 hours on this boat in this cute little dress, and it was FREEZING! They told us they had the heat on, but I sure didn't feel it. Jacob ended up buying me a sweatshirt, getting me a tablecloth, curtain, and napkins to use as a blanket. And a very sweet lady bought me another sweatshirt. Haha, I was still so cold, hungry, and tired. Blah!! Well we ended up eventually falling asleep on the floor and when we woke up, we were told that The Fire Department and Coast Gaurd came up with a way to get us off the boat, they bull dozed down trees and then built a road out to our boat (we weren't that far away from the coast, just a bunch of icy rocks were in the way).
Well, we finally were able to get off, and it was freezing and miserable outside! I had to wear plastic bags on my feet to keep from ruining my shoes, haha. And this whole ordeal was all over the News, crazy huh? But I'm just so happy that everybody was alright and no one was hurt. But that is my insane story!
And my dress survived the whole thing! Tehe :)

ReplyDeleteThat dress is absolutely beautiful, and I'm sorry you had to endure this whole shipwreck thing. I had to view the image externally just to view the shoes better. Those shoes, then, are as beautiful as the dress. This is a great look!
