Now that warmer weather has rolled around, I am really missing my long hair. I wish there was a way to make it grow, grow, grow! I have extremely curly hair, so when there is even a pinch of humidity it tends to go a little crazy. I decided to invest in this cute "N" hat from J Crew. (It's for the Nashville Vols, but let's be real here, I got it for Niki!) It's been a great purchase to wear on those humid days when I don't have any control over my hair, and it looks cute with pretty much everything! I know you will be seeing it again on here!

And how cute is Jacob's T-Rex shirt? I love it!

Lately yellow has become one of my favorite colors. I love how bright and happy it is and if I could wear it all the time I would!

I can't believe our time in Virginia is almost over, we only have 2 weeks left and then we are back to Arkansas! I'm excited because I miss Arkansas, my family, and friends like crazy. But our adjustment back to Arkansas is going to be a wild one! We have nowhere to live yet, which is going to be stressful in itself along with so many other things! Please pray that everything works out!

Last weekend Jacob and I headed down to Virginia Beach with some of our friends from his BOLC class. It was a lot of fun! Day 1 was pretty chilly, but Day 2 was perfect (even though the water was still waaay too cold!).

I wish we had more time to explore the town, because it seems really neat. Maybe one day we will go back!

ALU Dining Out.

 photo Diningout013_zps68e15569.jpg

Tuesday we had the dining out for Jacob's ALU class, I like dining outs because we get to dress up all fancy. Even though by the end of this one I was dying because the sequins of my dress were cutting my underarms all up, ouch!

I made sure to get a picture with all the guys we have grown closest to while being here, Ryan, Farmer, and Georges. I sure am going to miss hanging out with them when we leave in a month!

(Aren't we the cutest little bunnies in the 2nd and 3rd picture?!)

Jacob and I woke up on Easter Sunday and attended church with our friend George. Afterwards we went and grabbed some lunch, and then took a super long nap! When we finally woke up we went for a drive, took some pictures (aren't the "wood fairies" in the last picture beautiful?), and then went to I Hop, so delicious.

We had a great relaxing Easter, how was yours?

Last weekend Jacob and I headed to Washington DC to attend The Cherry Blossom Festival! And to our surprise, the Cherry Blossom trees haven't bloomed yet :( what a bummer! We made the best of it though. We went and saw the Iwo Jima Memorial, which is just absolutely amazing. Then we drove by the Arlington Cemetary where thousands of soldiers have been buried, may they rest in peace.

After that we headed to see the Lincoln Memorial! On our walk there we got to take some pictures with the Washington Monument (which is still under construction). And we got to see the capital in the distance behind the Monument, it was gorgeous. We finally reached Lincoln and it was everything I imagined it would be. It was definitely a childhood dream come true! And I was so glad to see it at night time because I felt like it has much more of a WOW factor at night with the light shining up on him.

After checking that out we sat on the steps to the Lincoln Memorial in front of the Reflection Pool and watched the Cherry Blossom Festival Firework show from the distance. It was perfect. It was extremely cold though, Jacob insisted that I not only wear my coat but that I also wear his. Haha, he's so perfect and crazy. I felt so bad for him cause I know he was freezing but there was no way talking him out of it.

On our trek back to the car we stopped at the World War II Memorial, which is the most beautiful memorial I've ever seen, the fountain and wreaths are amazing. And of course we found the Arkansas wreath!

After that we ran into some trees with white lights, and in my book you can never go wrong with white lights! And a cute little cobblestone road. We are hoping to make it back to DC in order to actually get to see all the Cherry Blossom Trees bloomed, to tour the capital, and to see the other memorials that we missed this time around.
